I FINALLY GOT MYSELF A WACOM INTUOS 3 TABLET!!!
although it is a measly 4'x5', ie. A6 size, i am still in heaven and totally satisfied with my investment ($329 singapore dollars, perhaps we would compare prices across the world and see where it is sold most cheaply?)
and so i drew something!!
and i must say that this little baby worked marvelously~ i could really produce the pressure difference with each stylus-stroke, and seeing my lines without the jagged look is pure bliss...
anyway, enough about the tablet. just wanna say that for all those of you thinking of getting a tablet... YOU SHOULD ACT NOW! it's worth it!
about the picture. it is referenced off a picture i saw and saved from a webforum a long time ago. it's so long ago that i couldnt locate that particular entry...i wanted to draw something simple and the face is simple to do. but the GRASS! i would never look at grass in the same way again.... and despite the help of the tablet, i had to cheat my way through in the end with the weird blending i did at the corners.. i can't draw grass~~~
my eyes were dead sure that this was a picture! haha thought you had taken a pic of you or something again, I must say I'm amazed, I'm glad you invested in the tablet...haha glad on your behalf I only wished this was bigger though....you know more to love? ^^
It looks absolutly fantastic. I love it.

three...hours....wow. i can't even begin to ponder attempting such a feat. the skin tones are incredible, to say the least--i mean, i thought she was real...the light source/shadows, the fabric folds, the hair, the grass...cirocco, it isn't fair! graaahhh!!!
beautifully done, my dear.
and yes, tablets are nice, aren't they? when i got mine, my carpal tunnel went away!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

the realism is stunning, particularly in the hand and in the folds of the shirt.

Run, rabbit, run
Dig that hole, forget the sun
And when at last the work is done
Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one
